Straightforward, Affordable Speech Therapy

Getting your child the support they need doesn’t have to mean navigating referrals, insurance authorizations, or complicated billing.

The SLP Next Door offers affordable, private-pay speech and language services with clear, upfront pricing. Services are individualized to your child’s needs, and families remain an important part of the therapy process from evaluation through treatment.

The SLP Next Door has also applied to participate as a Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) provider. TEFA payment is not currently available and will be offered only upon program approval.

Speech & Language Services

Every child communicates differently—and speech therapy should reflect that.

The SLP Next Door provides individualized evaluation and therapy based on your child’s strengths, needs, and everyday routines. Sessions are engaging, functional, and designed with carryover beyond the therapy session in mind.\

Services May Address:
  • Speech sound development and articulation
  • Expressive language
  • Receptive language and comprehension
  • Vocabulary and language development
  • Functional communication
  • Social communication
  • Early communication skills

A Once-Weekly, Family-Centered Approach

Speech therapy is only one small part of your child’s week. Meaningful progress happens when communication skills are supported during the routines, conversations, play, and learning experiences that happen every day.

The SLP Next Door provides once-weekly, 30-minute individualized therapy sessions with an emphasis on family involvement and carryover between visits.

During therapy, we’ll work directly on your child’s individualized goals while also identifying practical ways you can support those same skills at home. Strategies are designed to fit into what your family is already doing—not create another list of assignments to complete.

The goal isn’t to turn parents into speech therapists. It’s to give you the tools and confidence to recognize opportunities for communication and help your child practice new skills where they matter most: in real life.

How it Works

Start With a Free Screening

Begin your journey with a free screening to learn more about your concerns and take an initial look at your child’s speech and language skills.

Based on the screening, we’ll discuss whether a comprehensive evaluation is recommended and answer any questions you have about moving forward.

Complete an Evaluation

If an evaluation is recommended and you’d like to continue, a comprehensive speech-language evaluation will help us better understand your child’s strengths and areas of need.

You’ll receive the results, individualized recommendations, and a treatment plan.

Begin Once-Weekly Therapy

When therapy is recommended, your child will attend one individualized 30-minute session each week.

Sessions target your child’s specific speech and language goals while also helping you understand how to support those skills between visits. You’ll leave with practical ideas that can be incorporated into everyday routines, play, learning, and conversations at home.

Practice in Real Life

The other six days matter, too.

Family carryover is an important part of The SLP Next Door’s therapy model.

Rather than relying solely on time spent in therapy, we’ll work together to help your child use their developing skills throughout everyday life.

Simple, Upfront Pricing

The SLP Next Door is an affordable private-pay practice and does not bill insurance. Services follow a once-weekly therapy model with an emphasis on family participation and carryover between sessions.

Sometimes you don’t need another appointment on the calendar—you just need someone to help you figure out what to try next.

Parent consultations provide dedicated time to talk through your child’s communication, brainstorm practical strategies, and identify ways to support speech and language development during everyday routines.

Consultations may include:

  • Discussing communication concerns or questions
  • Brainstorming activities and strategies to try at home
  • Identifying communication opportunities within everyday routines
  • Reviewing ways to encourage speech, language, or functional communication
  • Problem-solving strategies that haven’t been working
  • Helping you decide whether additional speech-language evaluation may be appropriate

Parent consultations are educational and consultative in nature and do not include formal assessment, diagnosis, or individualized speech-language therapy.

$75 / 60 minutes

Not Sure Where to Start?

That’s okay. You don’t have to know exactly what your child needs before reaching out.

If you’re concerned about your child’s speech or language development and wondering whether therapy may be appropriate, start with a free screening.

If you’re looking for ideas, guidance, or someone to help you think through ways to support your child’s communication at home, schedule a Parent Communication Consultation.

Either way, we’ll start where you are and figure out the next step together.
