SLP Grad School: Things You Didn’t Learn

What is one thing, or more than one thing that you didn’t learn in SLP grad school?

I can think of a lot of “things” I didn’t learn in SLP grad school (or undergrad for that matter!). The most important was understanding speech therapy for toddlers. One language development class discussed language development from infancy to adolescence. That’s a lot of information to cover in one semester. It’s safe to say- I didn’t learn a lot about the importance of language and communication in toddlerhood, much less how to evaluate and write goals for the toddler population.

In this podcast episode, I’m talking about how I trudged through my early days of working with toddlers and the ways I want to help you through them now.

I’ve created a handbook for everything you never learned in SLP grad school when it comes to speech therapy for toddlers! You can find out more about it (and how to get your hands on it) in this episode.

Trust me, you’re not gonna want to miss it!
